Feed the Byrd

They just don’t make them like this anymore! And no, we’re not your grandpa talking about his old car. We’re talking about Richmond’s own iconic Byrd Theatre. Truthfully, think about it. When was the last time you went to see a movie and were jaw-dropping awed well before the first scene even hit the screen?

Go ahead. We’ll wait.
Yep, that’s what we thought.

The historic Byrd Theatre has been a part of Virginia’s entertainment culture for more than 85 years. In order to restore and preserve the Theatre for another 85, we need your help! By Feeding the Byrd, you are contributing to the effort to restore the Byrd to its original 1928 glory and ensure that it continues to maintain accessibility of the Theatre as a community institution that engages and promotes the art of film. Join us as we embark on our “Journey to the Seats!’ campaign. Help foster our progress and make your TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation today!

Our latest fundraising opportunity is a challenge grant from The Cabell Foundation. We have been “challenged” to raise $250,000 by June 30, 2014. If we reach this goal, The Cabell Foundation will generously match our $250,000 challenge. If we fall short of this goal, we will not be awarded any matching funds.

Currently we are about $25,000 from reaching this goal. Donate today!

The Byrd Theatre Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization formed in 2007 to purchase and restore Richmond’s Byrd Theatre. To learn more about the Byrd Theatre Foundation or to volunteer, please visit byrdtheatrefoundation.org.
